Caroline Walls
Visual Artist and Founder of Studio Walls

Caroline Walls is a visual artist working across painting, sculpture, illustration and print-making. Drawing inspiration from the movement and fluidity of the female form, womanhood, human connection and motherhood.

Her artistic practice is grounded in her signature use of neutrals and inky blue-black tones along with her deep understanding of composition and form. The figures in Caroline’s reductive print artworks are stripped back to their most essential line and shape to heighten the expressive power of each artwork.

Born in New Zealand before moving to Australia at a young age, Walls completed a Bachelors degree in Visual Communication (Hons) at Swinburne University of Melbourne, before spending extensive time living abroad in both London and New York, working in the field of fashion art direction and design. On returning to Australia she completed a post-graduate certificate in Visual Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts and continues her art practice from her studio in Melbourne, Australia. Caroline lives in the inner north with her wife Emma Hill and their two young daughters.

Caroline and her work has had the pleasure of being featured and profiled in publications such as Vogue Living, Vogue, Architectural Digest, Harpers Bazaar, The Design Files, Elle, Real Living, Inside Out and Cereal magazine. To view the most recent articles she has been featured in view here.
